Morning Chaps,

we have just built a new 2008 server to use as a management server and want to be able to access AD from the server. this is mainly to be used when we are remote connecting in from home etc...

normally we would install the 'adminpak' but apparantly this is not available for 2008 server.

do we just need to add the AD role onto this server?

Regards.

Go into Server Manager -> Features -> Remote Server Administration Tools -> Active Directory Domain Services Tools -> Active Directory Domain Controller Tools. This will install the snap-ins taht were available in teh adminpak
