How do I convert an Access 97 based Database to work in Access 2000?

Well if you open the file with Access 2K, it should autoconvert the database for you.. and copy/make a backup of the 97 one.

In Access, under Tools, Database Utilities, Convert Database, you should have "To current Access database version". This will convert you 97 DB to 2000. Once it has been converted, if it contains any Macros, open the database, click on Modules, go to View, Code. In the Window that pops up, go to Debug ,Compile "database name".
