Access 97 Reboots when selecting the Query tab

I have a user that runs several in house Access 97 databases on a Windows 2000 PC with 256MB Ram. I can open databases and work with tables etc, not always but usually if I click the query tab, the pc monitor will click and immediatly go black and the PC will reboot. It boots up fine and doesn't indicate that Windows shutdown incorrectly. I have tried reinstalling Office over the top to no avail. OFFICE 97 SP2 is on the system. I haven't tried an uninstall or running eraser utility, that will probably be my next step.

Any suggestions are surely welcomed.
