Access 97 "Save as HTML" converts hyperlinks to HTML code

I have an Access 97 database with hyperlinks in one of the fields, for example:

<a href="

http://mywebsite">MyWebSite</a>

If I save my table "As HTML" access converts the tags to HTML code therefore they are no longer hyperlinks in the resulting html file. For example the above hyperlink is converted to:

&lt;a href=&quot;

http://mywebsite&quot;&gt;MyWebSite&lt;/a&gt;

Is there a way to escape this conversion of html tags in Access 97?
