Access 97 "Out of Memory" 1

I have loaded my old Microsoft Office 97 programs that have served me well for many years onto a newer computer running Windows XP. When I try to run the Access program, I immediately receive an "Out of Memory" message before the program will even open. I have plenty of memory, and this happens even before any other major programs have been opened.

Can anyone offer a solution?

Thanks so much for your swift answer to my question. The JDE 3.5 update was the solution I needed and has allowed me to load Access. I'm back in business!
