Let's say your option has two check boxes. One has a value of 1 and the other a value of 2. You could use a select case statement...
Select Case MyOptionGroup
Case = 1
Me.Filter = "MyField Is Null"
Me.FilterOn = True
Case = 2
Me.FilterOn = False
End Select
This is one way. I am MyOptionGroup is the name of your option group control.
