Access 97 on Windows XP

Hi

Opening a report in access 97 on a windows XP system is really slow (2 minutes), even for very small, or zero record reports.

Opening the same report, from the same database on Win98 functions fine.

Anyone seen this before?

Do the Win98 and WinXP machines have the sane spec?

If yes, could it be that WinXp is taking up more resources, in particular memory?

The new XP system is way higher - everything else is as expected - queries, forms, etc all run considerably faster. I was just wondering if there were any known problems.

Oh, another thing - the actual file is stored on a NT 4.5 file server - I'll have to try a local coopy, but as it only affected reports......
