Hi we are using Access 97 with individual user mdb frontends. Recently we have been experiencing the access database corrupting regularly.
Additionally there has been a slowdown in accesss responding this may correspond (in terms of timeline) to when Jet SP3 was applied in an attempt to fix the coruption ocurring.
We have several users that are connecting using citrix in addition to local network users.
LDB viewer always shows the terminal server as having left the MDB in a suspect state. However I am not sure that this is 100% accurate.
There is also a VB app that accesses the same database and is in some cases used via Citrix too.
The corruption started just after the a record was locked by several users going into the same records. Our database developer advised to repair and compact. Since then the database has crashed about 3 times daily. Later that week our developer put all of the data into a new database, but the crashes continued. He then gave us Jet SP3 which seemed to help initially but then the crashes resumed.
Has anyone experienced similar problems and what steps did you take to resolve them?
Regards,
Muffin Man.
