I have become involved with an Access 97 file that has dates formatted in one of the tables as 1-01-01 and I need to change this field in this table to 1/01/01. The table has mixed date formats in this field, both 1-01-01 and 1/01/01 appear in this table.

Is there some way to run query to change the 1-01-01 records to the 1/01/01 date format? I have ~ 2000 records with dates that range over the last few years and I really would rather not change these manually.

If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it.

Apparently the dates are in a text field rather than a date/time field. Unless there is a good reason for this, it is probably not a good idea. My approach would be to add a date field to the table, and then run an update query to change it to pre-existing date - DateValue() should do this for either delimiter. Then eliminate the original field.
