Access 2010: Print Preview Multi Page Page navigation "missing"

Hi, been searching for this for ages but no luck so after a bit of help/advice please......

Fairly standard Access report opened from a form with Openreport,repname,AcViewPreview

it creates a nice 238 page report however the Pages navigation bar at the bottom of the report is "missing"..?

I say missing because if you swap to report view then back to Preview it appears and you can navigate back/forth etc...

Anybody have any ideas why when the report opens it doesn't show this bar n=by default please..?
We have other databases where this doesn't occur and its same code, same references etc etc so puzzled...

Ah apologies - Should probably have been in Access Reports thread...moving there (sorry not sure how to delete...)
