Hi,

I find Access 2010 very frustrating as compared to Access 2003. However I have not spent that much time trying to learn 2010 as it is so frustrating. (my catch 22)

I have several databases that I have startup with an Autoexec macro that Runs the command WindowHide and then opens a Form and hides the toolbar (showtoolbar = No). In 2003 I can just hold down the shift key when opening the DB and I can see the tables, queries and forms. However when I do this in 2010 sometimes all I get is a blank screen other times I get the tables, queries and forms. How can I bypass the autoexec macro in 2010?

In 2003 using the Autoexec macro when opening the DB, if the form opens and I have a toolbar, I can select Window Unhide and I can select the database to be able to see the tables, queries and forms. However 2010 does not have Window on the ribbon so I can’t do that ether. How do you do this in 2010?

Thanks

Open with the shift key. On the far left of the database window there should be "Navigation Pane" which is probably minimized. Click ">>" at the top of it to maximize. You can then click the down arrow at the top right of the pane to select what you want to see there; right-clicking its title bar will reveal other options choices. Opening the red "file" tab in the ribbon will reveal the stuff you used to see by clicking the office button.

Beir bua agus beannacht!

You can also press F11 to view the navigation pane - in Access pre 2007 it will show the database window.
