I created a database using access 2007, then decided i wanted to use user level security so i saved the data base as an access 2000-2003 format. I created a test user and never set a "Admin" password. I cannot get into the database with either the test or admin login...i could care less about this database but every other database that i try to open even ones that are 2007 come up with this login and I cant get in to ANY database....can someone help me?

thank you!

Paul

Sounds like you set a global policy, and not a shortcut. I don't know enough about the Access security model to respond with a fix.

As is, I am finding the Access security model to be infinitely infuriating. :)

All MS Access databases (not speeking for 2007) are using be default the System.mdw file to handle User-Level security, whether you have set it or not. Try to find files of this kind System*.mdw and just delete them. Of course there is the re-installation of MS-Access to deal with this. In case you have created an new mdw file and didn't use the default, you could join the System.mdw that has no security. In XP/2003 goto Tools-->Security-->Workgroup Administrator.
