Hi,

For some reason on a few machines including mine, warnings seem to have been disabled - no prompts when running update, append queries and the like. Warnings work fine on other machines running the same database.

This is Access 2007

Error checking is enabled with the exception of nassociated labels.

I can build a form in a brand new database, set warnings true on load as a precaution and run a query from a button and no warnings appear prior to executing the query. Run the query by itself and same thing - no warnings.

I can't quite figure why I cannot restore the usual prompts one sees when running an action query.

Any Ideas?

Thanks, dRahme

Check the advanced tab under Options ( to ensure that Confirm Action queries is ticked. It is possible that you have some code somewhere that sets this option off, without setting it on again ( In Access 2000, setting this option off applies to all databases, and it is probably the same for 2007. It is a very unsafe thing to do.

That is exactly what the problem was. The option was ticked off on several machines, including mine.

Thanks much,

dRahme
