Access 2007 vs Infopath using SharePoint

We will begin implenting Sharepoint soon and plan on using Infopath as our front-end tool. I know very little about Infopath, but it's my understanding that some features of Infopath require the client to be installed on the user's machine. Regardless, assuming that all users have InfoPath and Access 2007 installed on their machines, what advantages does Infopath have over Access 2007?
