Access 2007 Security

Hello,
My organization is migrating to MS Access 2007 and Windows 7. When I open our .mdb file in that environment my access workgroups are stripped out. Since .accdb doesn't recoginize workgroups, I'm thinking that I might want to not use Access security at all going forward. Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
