Can anybody here offer any real-world advice on the uses/differences between these two? I've just recently started using Office 2007 at work, and just noticed today that there is a new "Layout View" as apposed to just "Design" and "Form" views.

Thanks for any info/references/advice.

I think (might be wrong) the layout view is a see what you get layout, ie thats how the form will look when opened. Maybe someone can shoot me down if I'm wrong.

Yeah, I looked at a fairly in depth page on that specific topic, I believe, on office.microsoft.com.

It sounds like for basic editing, the layout view can be easier, and for more detailed editing of the form, such as assigning VBA to controls, design view is the way to go.. but I'm not 100% sure as of yet. For now, I'm just going to mainly stick with design view, myself.
