Access 2007 keeps crashing when reviewing a report

I have a simple split database. I created a simple report that reads a table directly (no sql etc.) and then prints group totals (badly as it seems to do it twice). The code is in groupheader0.format.
After closing the database and re-opening it the report appears to be corrupt and Access encounters a problem and needs to close. I cannot delete the report. I created a new database and imported all elements except the report. I have re-written the report (not exactly) and now, after opening and closing the database, it too crashes.
Can anyone shed some light on the subject?

Try compacting and repairing

9 times out of 10 I know what I'm talking about. This must be my tenth reply.

compacted, repaired, moved & even threatened. Problem still exists. It is possible that the corruption is due to me changing code when in break mode (thanks Allen Browne of Perth for that one...) It may also be that Access is not that robust when in my hands (this also happened 2 years ago & the only solution was to restart from scratch!).
I guess I need to either be more careful or seek a good access database "fixer

The code is in groupheader0.format.

This doesn't answer the corruption problem, but the reason you get 2 totals is because the Group Format event is firing twice in your report.
