Access 2007 Date Picker problem

On my access 2007 .adp (project) form, the Date Picker icon does not show up next to controls with a date format, even when it has the focus and there is a legitimate date in the field, and the property box for the control says 'Show Picker for Dates'. Any idea what's going on?

Also, when I attempt to format controls with the Medium Time format, and enter a time value, Access reads the control as containing a date AND time. Any ideas here??
