Hi there,

So I have access 2007 and a bit of a beginner... good place to start huh?!?

Basically I have a list of PCs and I want to create a report to show me machines that are a certain age. I have a field for 'purchase date' so want results for machines over 2 years old for example... does that make sense?

I would like this to refresh itself whenever the DB is opened, is this possible or am I asking to much of access?

Thanks all

ACF.

To create a simple query that shows the data you want....

Start a new query. Add the table that has the data. Add the necessary fields, including the Purchase Date. In the first Criteria line under the date field enter:

< DateAdd(y, -2, Date())

View this to see if the results are expected. This should show you all records that have a purchase date less that 2 years ago today.

Not sure I'm getting the results I want, but it has pointed me in the right direction... I will have a play.
