Access 2007 automatically restarts if it shuts down

Is there a way or a setting to not allow Access to restart if it shuts down? I am working with many many records and sometimes Access shuts down while running some of the queries. When it restarts it deletes tables 1st which means I can't restart the logic past the point where the tables were created, I need to restart at the top.
