I've made some changes to a form, I hit Save, and it just kind of...does nothing.

I go to close the database, it prompts to save the form and then...nothing. The .mdb doesn't close, the form doesn't save.

I tried Save As, and gave it a new name, and it closed and seemed to save fine, but when I looked (even after closing .mdb and reopening) the saved-as form is not there, and the original one is unchanged.

What's up with that? Thanks,
--Jim

Is it possible that there is some code running?

No code running at all.
This is a bit concerning, because I remember some devastating bugs in Access 2000, that had similar symptoms--where some form couldn't be saved--but in that version the manifestation was that then when you tried to open it again, it was completely blank--no code and no controls and no possibility to recover.

Anyway, in this case the form is still intact--I just can't make changes. It's not a permissions issue either, this is a default all-admin non-secured .mdb.

I am using 2000, and seem to recall that this problem can sometimes be fixed by copy-paste to a new form, deleting the problem form and repairing. However, you may have to import everything into a new database.
