When I change a field in the database and save record it may not be saved. it appears fine at first but when you look at the data 2 hours later the data has been lost field blank or if you change the field it will change back to what it was before. There is no code behind the form it just straight to the table. The backend is on a network. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'd check the locking method.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Have you looked at the underlying table to see if the data is there or are you simply going by appearances in the form?

I had a friend who was having something similar happen and I finally ran figured out what the problem was. She was cutting and pasting data from a Word document and it was also copying and pasting the line feed at the end of the data. The data was actually in the textbox, but the line feed made it scroll up so that the textbox looked blank!

Thank you for you replies. Yes I using the back end as I have wright access were most user only have read and use the front end. No the data is not in the tables. No I not cutting and pasting. It is simple data entry. I am woundering if it is in cash and not being written.

Sorry I did not say there is no locking. Also the backend which I am using is on a network drive. We have had a similar problem with other database whick we moved to the local drive. As data would be there one day and gone the next.
