I have a user that when they run any access dtabases the currency field shows up with a Z in front of the $ sign.

Any thoughts on why this is? I believe that it is just on his machine and a formatting issues. That field is set to currency.

Thanks for any help

First, post Access questions in the ACCESS FORUMS. You'll get more responses.
Did you check the format option on both the table design and form design views?
Besides that, I don't know. Post in the ACCESS FORUMS.

If it's just his PC and doesn't happen for the same database on other user's PCs, maybe the fault isn't within Access- maybe it's his Windows regional settings.

Use Control Panel, Regional and Language options, Regional options to check how the currecny format is set at a PC level.
