I have an Access 2000 file that opens and runs fine with Access 2000, but when I try to open the file to look at the table or forms, Access 2003 crashes with in 5 seconds. It gives the VBE6.dll as the file that is causing the error. I have followed the instructions on the Access 2003 bug list posted in this forum with no luck. And I am having no luck with Google. Now, I can open other Access 2000 databases with 2003 with no problems, but those have no VBA code. I have checked my settings in A 2003 and everything seems fine. I am not even able to import from the 2000 .mdb file without it crashing.

Can anyone give some suggestions? I would rather not have to try and write the code over again, but seems that is a path I might have to go down.

Thanks,
Dave

It may be that there is some error in the 2000 code. Have you tried opening the 2000 code in 2000 then while in VBA code window running debug to see if it finds any errors?
