Hi all,
I'm using Access 2003 in Win7 64-bit.
In the MRU list on the File menu, the entries do not seem to update accurately or follow any rhyme or reason.
The entries there are .mdbs that I *have* opened at sometime within the last few months, but are definitely *not* the files I opened up in the last hour, or even day.
In XP, there was a similar problem (though not as thouroughly inaccurate) in which it seemed like .mdb's on shared drives were "second class citizens* and rarely made the MRU list, while older local HD .mdbs remained.
Anyway, can anyone tell me if they've noticed this, and if there is some fix--maybe a reg setting or something--to make it acutally work?
Additionall info:
The Access sessions are not abended.
The machine hasn't abended.
The .mdw file is *always* the default (I mention this because I recall an earlier issue w/Acc97 where the mru seemed to be .mdw specific).
I'm not running any registry-hacking code (There is vba code that can clear these entries from the registry).
I'm not running Scheduled Tasks that open Access .mdbs when I'm not around.
In general, I'm running it in a pretty generic way, the only thing is it's 32-bit Access on 64-bit windows.
Thanks,
