I get the following message when I try to open an Access 2002 database.

Microsoft Access cannot open this file.
This file is located outside your intranet or on an untrusted site. Microsoft Access will not open the file due to potential security problems. To open the file, copy it to your computer or an accessible network location.

I received the database by email and stored in on my hard drive. I can not open it and I do not know why it thinks is on a intranet or an untrusted site.
Thanks in advance.

If you are using Access 2007 you will need to set the lcoation you have copied the database to as a trusted location. You can do this by:

1. Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Access Options.
2. Click Trust Center, click Trust Center Settings, and then click Trusted Locations.
3. Click Add new location.
4. In the Path box, type the name of the folder that you want to use as a trusted location, or click Browse to locate the folder.
5. If you want to include subfolders as trusted locations, select the Subfolders of this location are also trusted check box.
6. In the of the trusted location Description box, type what you want to describe the purpose .
Click OK.

If you right-click on the file and choose Properties, is there an Unblock button?
