Access 2002 app not running on win 98

Hi all, I have an app done using Ms Access 2002 using VBA coding and windows API functions to display a countdown timer and to check for files on the cdrom drive. This app runs fine on Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows ME using Access 2000 but when I try to run the app on Windows 98 SE using the same Access 2000, the forms with the API programming do not open. Only the froms without any API functions opens. Can anyone give me an idea as to why this would happen and if there is some update available to update the Win 98 SE API. Thanks in advance.
