Our office just converted from NT and Office 2000 to XP and Office 2002. The performance of one of my databases went from stellar to sluggish. I tried converting the file to 2002 and the performance still did not improve. Anyone else had a similar experience or any ideas? One co-worker suggested rebuilding the forms with ADO and unbound fields, but I would like to avoid having to rebuild the whole DB. Thanks.

Hi,

Have you tried getting all of the service packs for Office XP and Win XP? This may help... When I converted from Win 2000 to Win XP I also had sluggish performance. I finally got my hands on DirectX 9. It increased my both my system and applications performance greatly. I also increased my system's virtual memory size, turned off automatic updates and turned off my system backup utility (all of these are under: Start - Settings - Control Panel - My System).
I would defianetly read up on setting these if you have not done so before...
