Hi,

I have just started using Access 2000 having been used to Access 97 for quite some time. I have a problem with using Database & Recordset objects form within code. Can i use the same .dll files from Access 97. i.e. DAO350.dll or do i have to use a different one? Also how does the priority setting work for the references?

Thanks

MartinF

hi,

there should be a dao3.6 available in your list of references, to set the order of references I uncheck the references as they were, compact the database - just to be sure , and check the references in order of "importance", most important first.

Hi CPUburn,

Thanks for responding. I also have a problem with unchecking the some of the references once they are selected, i get an error message saying that the reference cannot be un-selected as it is currently in use. However the only thing open in the database is the module that i am working on.

hi,

yes, should have mentioned it: acc 9.0 object lib and visual basic for app you can indeed not "un-reference"
