Hi everyone

I installed Access 2000 on an NT4 terminal server (using the termsrvr.mst file from ORK tools. However for some reason it has not installed properly, even though there were no error messages. I have uninstalled Access and reinstalled it but all to no avail. The problem is when trying to create on run databases there are lots of messages such as "this feature is no longer supported please contact your system administrator" or "selected collating sequence not supported by the operating system".

I would be very grateful for some help in this matter as it is imperative that I get Access 2000 installed at the earliest, as I have a database program that needs to run within citrix, and this is the only server that it can be installed on.

Thanking everyone in advance

Kevin

I've never seen these particluar errors, but I'd guess that it could be the version of your ODBC drivers or MDAC that is at issue?

I hope this helps

I am having a similar problem. We are running Office 2000 on 7 W2K Citrix servers. Just recently we began experiencing problems with the Office suite on one server. For example, when opening a database from a desktop shortcut, the message appears "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action". If we start Access, and then open the database, the message appears "An error occurred and this feature is no longer functioning properly". Here's the catch - when I log on as administrator and open the same databases, I get no errors. Clearly, a permissions problem, but where do I check? I have even given full control to a particular user, but the errors still appear. I have uninstalled and installed Office, no help, maybe worse. [sadeyes] This as I said just started happening, was not a problem from the beginning.

Have you run the application compatibility scripts? CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk
