Hi All,

I am using Access 2000 and trying to use a parameter query to simply search on an employee name. I have put this in the criteria:

Like "*" & [Enter Name?] & "*"

and all kinds of variations....but the query simply ignores it....the pop up comes up, I enter a part of a name like br for Brownstein, and then my second parameter pops up (date range) and all I get is the date range selected, but all of the names instead of just br names.....I tried putting them in order, in the query parameters box, but that does not work either...help? Thanks, A

hi,
Code:
Like "'*" & [Enter Name?] & "*'"

Skip,

[glasses]Just traded in my old subtlety...
