In Access 2000 Northwind.mdb I have a "Enter new Product" Button on Orders Form and on the "New Product" Form (based on qryProducts) I have a "Save" and "Close Form" button.
When back to Orders Form and in the Subform the New Product does not show up.
I have tried to add code to both buttons on the "New Products" Form like DoCmd.Requery, DoCmd.Save acQuery, "qryProducts".
Neither works.
Any suggestions.

Dear plang99
make sure the right query is being requeried. i.e the one the subform is based on!
good luck

When I am in the Products Form it is based on the qryProducts. The SubForm based on query: Order Details Extended. When still in the Products form the new item does not show up.

Dear Plang99
I was a bit confused so I checked the Northwind Database and realised that the 'add Products' form is based on 'Table Products' not on a qry.
Furthermore it is the same form as 'Products' but when opened by the 'Add Products' button on the 'Suppliers' form it is opened in Data entry Mode. i.e blank, ready for Data entry.

I did check the Add Products form and it does add the product (because it is adding it into the 'Table Products')
If you doubt that, Just close all the forms and Switchboard and go to the Tables Tab and open 'Products' and scroll down to find what you entered.

The Subform is based on 'Order details Extended'
But if you open it as a standalone form without the Order form it has a VB Procedure that tells you you Cannot edit it.
I hope that lot is a bit of help
Regards Jim
