Environment: Ms Access 2000 user interface mdb running on Win98 connected to MSDE database via ODBC (System DSNs). The user interface mdb is linked to the tables. The mdb file is on a server. The user clicks the mdb file name in a folder on the server to open the mdb on the client pc.
Issue: User opens form, places cursor on a text box and clicks Find and Replace. User enters criteria in “Find What” and sets “Match” to “Whole Field”. User presses “Find Next” button.
Problem: Sometimes, user finds a record that was not entered into the “Find What” criteria. For example, user enters “ABC”, presses “Find Next” and MS Access goes to record “XYZ”. This often leads to a GPF. The error message states “MSACCESS caused an invalid page fault in module MSJET40.DLL…” This is an intermittent problem. This problem cannot be reproduced on an XP machine.
Thanks for anyone’s help!
