I have a Access database file and it wont open now. It is saved on my C: drive.

Error message "open records cannot be read: no read permission on Msys access objects."

I have admin access and cannot get it to release the data. the data sources are still available but not the value added stuff I worked on.

You might try looking for an LDB file of the same name, LDB is Locked Data Base. Delete it... then try to open it.

Just a suggestion.

Another option (although this probably will not work because you are getting permission errors) is to open a new database and attempt to import the data from the locked database. File > Get External Data > Import and choose that database.

However, I do not think this will work due to the nature of the problem.

Search for an LDB file.
