We recently moved an access database from NT4 to a Windows 2003 server. Since the move we have users complaining of unacceptable access speeds when opening the database remotley. we moved it back to NT and all ok. Any ideas on what could be the cause??

I have experienced a similar problem - a client just moved to Server 2003. We have several split databases (_be file on server, front end on each desktop) which used to perform fine. Now, they open very slowly. Once open they seem to run OK.

I am familiar with all the other issues about speeding up Access (see Granite web page) This is something new that occurred immediately with the switch to Windows Server 2003.

Any ideas.

Hi Everybody,

Thank you all so far for your input. I hadn't expected performance to be an issue, since migration from NT to XP seems to be a step forward...
