Hi,

I presume you can open Access 97 BD’s in Access 2000 without any problems but can you convert these DB’s back to Access 97 from 2000? I have a user with 2000 at home and 97 at work and as I never used 2000 I can experiment.
If anyone can tell me the easiest way to do this I would appreciate it

Thanks

It's an option under tools drop down menu, then database utilities, convert database, to prior access database version

ETID's right. Truth is, as long as your guy is only working with data or running queries, and not changing or creating design stuff, he doesn't NEED to convert it, he'll be able to work in it anyway.

Problems: Some VBA code differences. If it's a simple DB with no macros, should NOT be a problem. Other external influences may precipitate, but it's sure worth a test. Brainbench MVP for Microsoft Word
