A user opened up a database with Access 2000 that was created in Access 97 (pre SR-1). She converted & I believe she got an error. I updated the 97 users to SR-2. Now, they can get into the database and enter data, but when trying to click on the tabs for tables, queries, ect... (the database window behind the interface) they get an error message that no current index exsists. The help tells me to look in the Indexes collection of the TableDef object to determine the valid index names. I have looked through 20 or so help files and I am still lost. Could some direct me in the right direction in restoring these indexes?

I think you should check the conversion of the system table: "MSysIMexColumns"
You can find it by going into Tools, Options and checking to show System Objects. This table has an IndexType column, it should show you what is going on.

The system objects option was turned on but nothing shows up under Tables. If you try to unselect it or apply it you get an invaild page fault. You cant even get into the other tabs without getting an error. I get a permission error when trying to open the database in Access 2000. It seems to think it is a secure database, but it is not.

I found the solution, it came from the next post in this forum. The web address that the person posted had a bugs listing and it steped me through the process of repairing the database from the errors i recieved.
Thank you
