Access 2000 Cheque printing 1

I am attempting to create a report in Access 2000 that
will print cheques, the problem being converting currency
£(numbers) to text.
I have tried using mdl0001 by Joe Foster,but without
success. I am probably not inserting it in the right place
or not changing something that I should.
Suggestions please.
