All,
I have a Windows2k Server sitting behind my Linux box. The Linux box is the firewall for my internal LAN. I am connecting using Microsoft Terminal Services Client. If I use the version of the client that gets installed on the client computer I can connect to my Server fine.
I have a webpage running on the 2k Server (I forward all http traffic to the 2k Server) that has an ActiveX control that lets me login to the Server using a web interface. I can get to the page fine, type the Server's ipaddress in the text window, click ok and then it tries to connect to the server. But eventually a window pops up saying, "There was an error connecting to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (Server's IP address)
Since I can connect to the server fine using the installed client, I would think there isnt anything wrong with the server. Also I plugged a laptop into my LAN and I could connect to the Server fine using the web based client. Its only when connecting throung my Linux box that the web based client doesnt work. I like the web client better, can anyone give me any ideas as to how I can fix this? If you need any more info please ask me.
