Using getURL() / loadVariables() has anyone got some experience with these.

We would need to write a Flash app that would constantly be listening for data coming in through POST.

How would be do this? ie. the display data would change dynamically as POST data changed.

The POST data would be PUSHED from a web server.

Seems pretty impractical to me. You would constantly be using bandwidth and client and server resources for the active connection.

IMHO it seems like it would be more practical to "schedule" the process. So every 5 or 10 minutes the loadVariables action fires again.

Just my two cents.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!
