Hi,

what's an acceptable percentage or ratio, ie 1 per million packets, of output drops on an ATM circuit please?

For instance, since clearing the counters 21 hours ago I see 31498 output drops in 27631462 packets out.

The only info I can find on output drops is a general 100 maximum in any one hour but is there anything more specific for ATM circuits please?

Regards
Peter

What sort of circuit? What kind of router/switch?
My adsl has 0 output drops, so the queue is never overloaded. Your queue sounds like it's overloaded. Is there a QoS config with a different queuing strategy other than weighted-fair? Post a sh run, and try and provide more info on the topology. Your rate seems high...
