moving an Acc97 db into Acc2000. lots of charts.
i have two machines, have been running some tests.
for one example, it takes Acc2000 47 seconds longer to process the chart (counted with my extremely scientific One-Mississippi method). this is typical.
upon hitting The Button, lots of queries are run; that doesnt seem to be the problem. It when the status bar says "Formatting Report hit ctrl+break to cancel" that it sits for so freakin long. in format event of detail section, i only had code to refresh the chart (workaround for bug where now and then the 'sample' data is displayed). however, the 47 seconds is after i omitted the Detail On Format event.
any ideas to speed things up? or does this fall into the "WHY IS ACCESS 2K SO MUCH SLOWER THAN 97" hole?
