Can anyone recommend a book to prepare me for either the Avaya networking exam or the TIA CTP exam.

What route do you recommend and why?

Is the TIA CCNT worth doing anymore?

I am forced to train from a book due to cost/time of instructor lead and web training.

I used the west net books, a 5 book set...took 8 days of reading 4 to 6 hrs heach day

The exam is not to hard, 85 questions to answer within 105 minutes and you can review all questions if you have time left.

If you are taking this exam in the uk make sure you learn all you American exchange terminology such as CO lines and Foreign Exchange ohhh and the best one Analogue DID lines now what’s all that about !!! we like pure Digital DDI here in the UK

he exam in UK is a joke.
the exame claimes to be for europe, then asks questions about North America, I hope you all put suitable comments in the feedback field that is available on each question.

I lost track of the times I typed "Please explain what relavence this question has to the Eurpoean Market"

took 15 minuets to pass though

putting any comments doesn't seem to make any effect. i passed aca core exam two years ago and wrote great deal of comments about this american-centered exam, but nothing changed in a iota since then. so all those comments are just useless, besides giving you a sense of moral satisfaction.
