I have not seen any mention of Avaya certifications here for a while, so was not sure if anyone has heard that Avaya will be dropping the Communication Networking Exam (CommNet or 132-S-100.3 or .3G) in March 2007 and replacing it with CompTIA’s Convergence+ exam. Just as well, Avaya now accepts a passing score on TIA’s CTP exam as an equivalent to passing the Core Networking Exam.
I was requested by my employer to obtain the ACA Implement in IP Office by the end of the month and look in to the ACS IP Office certification. I’ve completed the online Product Elective Track IP Office for Implement, but still debating to if I should take the TIA CTP exam or the Avaya Communication Networking exam (Convergence+ still appears to be in beta, so I will not be taking that one). Does anyone know if the CommNet exam has changed at all since the practice questions (seemingly ancient) were posted in this forum back in 2005? Or, has anyone taken either of these exams it in the past few months?
