AC-WIN / DS-WIN V4 pop up window

Hello,

Got an odd issue with a AC-Win / DS-Win V4 console.
When the operator is on a call and looks up the name in DS-Win, pressing Return doesn't place an outgoing call.
Instead a pop up window appears instead.
Unfortunately the Window pops up in German rather than English. The title is "Datenansicht" and has a Ja and Nein buttons.
Clicking either button does nothing.

Any ideas how to disable this pop up? The other consoles don't have the issue.

There is a setting in the DS Win to tell it to 'connect to AC Win'

DS-Win should always connect to AC-Win, if it can see it. Under "File" on the DS-Win, see if there is a tick next to the Connect to AC-Win line. Compare with the working one.

Which button does what is stored in the XMLs, it's unlikely to have changed, but you can check it with the GUI designer. Open the XML view file (your normal DS-Win will tell you the path/name in the top line of the DS-Win windows), if you then click the dial button, you can see property/value on the left, should be PHONECALL and probably grid1. Compare again with a good one.

From your main DS-Win screen (not the designer), you can click options, AC-Win. Compare those fields with a good one.

Compare \program data\siemens\ds-win v4\forms\DSWin-View_confg.xml with a good one. OK to overwrite from the other PC, just back it up first.

Depends if the issue is with the connection to AC-Win, or the dial button.

I've been on a different site for a few days so haven't looked at the console.

After I bought DS-Win I tried to configure it to sync with my 4K because we wanted it for the console operators, but I couldn't figure it out and my vendor didn't know how to do it either and had no interest in helping. After that I tried to export the database we are using for our intranet phone book and I was unable to export it in a format that I could get to populate DS-Win in the way I wanted it to work. So effectively it is like an appendix - just hanging there and not doing anything. It does pop up when AC-Win starts though - they just exit out of it right away.

DS-Win 4 is a different beast than DS-Win 3, but synchronisation works fine once configured. Did you want to sync from the persi names or do you have personal data stored in the Assistant? Could probably provide some instructions if I get time. Not sure about the vendor comment, if they sold it they need to configure it!! What do the operators do when they get a call now, if they close DS-Win ??

If you have a site name/number database stored elsewhere, DS-Win will sync to that also, but you need to be aware of numbering formats, making sure DS-Win has a number that it can dial.

I would configure it to sync to persi.

I have another database but the values it has are not compatible.
