I'm trying to use the absolute position attribute of CSS to position a div container. But I want the container to be absolutely positioned against another DIV tag and not the BODY tag which is the default absolute reference point.

The BODY tag will always be referenced as pixels X,Y equal to 0,0 respectively.

I have a DIV tag that is not positioned absolutely because I want it to be centered to the page depending on how big the user's window is. This means that in relation to the BODY tag, the outer DIV tag is always adjusting to the size of the user's window. That's OK. What I want is the inner DIV tag to be absolutely positioned against the first X,Y pixel of the outer DIV tag.

Any thoughts?

Yes, this absolutely (pardon the pun) worked. Thanks Dan.
