About to become Apple Imac G4superdrive owner

HI I am awaiting delivery of my new Apple Imac but wanted to ask will I be able to easily add more RAM, it comes with 256, but my partner wants to do his video editing on it. Will this be enough memory to speed things up, at the moment my celeron processor usually takes about 15 minutes to render a video. it does have 256 RAm and 30+8 gb hard drives.

I expect to visit this forum a great deal, so please bear with me I have used PCs for over 20 years so this will be a new experience for me.
Wish me luck. Or is the apple so easy to use I wont need it?

Assuming this is a New iMac, it has two slots for RAM, one very hidden that takes a PC133 SODIMM, and one pretty accessable that takes a PC100 SODIMM, heither of these memory chips are rare or unique to macs, but because of the Location of the PC133 SODIMM I would have a tech add to that one. If you are used to computers in general the PC100 SODIMM is easy and can be as large as 512 Meg The IMac would then be 640 Meg

My first query about a problem that has hit my mac. It may be due to something I downloaded, which was a driver for my Jessops compact flash card reader,
when I try to wake it up after 'sleep'I have to restart from the power switch.i.e The screen appears but there is a message telling me to restart or hold the power button down for 5 secs.
I cant restart as my mouse doesnt work until I have powered down and up again. have you any idea why this should happen. surely it cant be a conflict with the downloaded driver??
