About tar command

I want know if I tar some files at HPUX or SOLARIS , these files can restore using tar command at AIX system?

yes, you will be able to tar on one O/S (ie: hp/sun) and untar on AIX. Keep in mind that if the files were compiled on HP they may not run on AIX as they are of different compilations. You may need to re-compile the executable.

Yes you can, but you may need to use some compatibility switches. look at
man tar
for options on your system.
