about privilege

Hi,friends
There is a directory named deploy in my linux box.
$ls -l
drwxr-xrwx 3 nobody nobody 1024 Dec 12 11:09 deploy/
I think others have rights to write into it.But all other guys are denied to write into it except nobody and root.
My linux verion is
$uname -a
Linux sw_linux 2.4.2-2 #1 Sun Apr 8 19:37:14 EDT 2001 i586 unknown
Is it bug ?

chown root deploy
chgrp "group" deploy(containg individuals write privileged)
chmod 664 deploy

Thanks for your response!But i donot understand why i canot use nobody as owner and group.
