? about getting a hp laserjet 4000 to print barcodes

I have a HP laserjet 4000 connected to our network that needs to be able to print code 128b barcodes. The barcodes print out fine on our HP laserjet 8000s. The barcodes are being printed from HP-UNIX. Do I just need to get a chip for the printer to be able to print the barcodes?

iirc you need the 'barcode fonts' and more card or dimm.
